To do this you must login to your registrar control panel (the company/website
where you bought the domain from). If you have troubles with finding the DNS's
interface you can give us your username/password and the URL of your registrar
and we will make the change for you.
Once the DNS's are changed, it will take around 48 hours till the domain will
be functional (it takes some time till the DNS change is propagated through
the Internet).
Once you change your DNS's, please send a message to support@netrealintouch.net
and let us know what is your domain and what is the email you registered with
on NetRealinTouch.
MANAGING MY CONTACTS
10. How do I manage my contact lists ?
The most important asset you need in order to start using the NetRealinTouch
system is your Contact List.
You cannot send newsletters without having recipients, therefore creating
a contact list is the first and most important step of the process.
You can create several lists of contacts and navigate between them, name,
edit or delete them. This will enable you to group your audience after various
criteria, such as interest in a certain area, age, sex, professional status.
By extension, you will be able to send these groups the newsletter content
that would interest them the most.
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu. The “Mailing List” box is located at the top of
the left-side menu.
After you register, the system creates for you a “Default” list
containing only one contact, yourself. The important thing to remember is that
you will be working on one list at a time. Take another peek at the top of
the left-side menu. Notice the name of the current list, for example “Default
list”. Any customizations you will make will pertain to this specific
list.
Under the current list there are two buttons: the “Edit” button
and the “Delete” button.
Use the “Edit” button to change its name (for example from “Default
list” to “My prospects list”). To edit the list’s name,
fill in the field with the new list name, then press the “Done” button
to save.
If you wish to delete a list, press on the "Delete list" link under the list's
name. Please note, that together with the list, you will also delete all the
contacts in
it.
To add a new list, press the “Create new list” link. An empty
name field will expand. Fill it with the name of your new list (for example “Family
list”) and press the “Done” button to save. The new list
will become the active list.
To change the list you are working with, use the drop-down menu and choose
it from there.
11. How do I import contacts ?
Instead of adding each contact manually, you can save time and effort by importing
your Outlook or Outlook Express address books.
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Contacts Management” button on the
left-side menu. The “Contacts Management” page contains a list
of contacts (your own address is added automatically to the default list) and
a series of top links to help you manage your contact list: add, copy, move,
delete, search and import contacts, as well as clean up the unreachable recipients.
Click on the “Import contacts” link to get to the importing form.
Press the “Browse” button to import contact lists from your personal
computer. Note that the list file must be in .CSV format. For more information
about importing, please check out the two tutorials at the bottom of the page.
Click each of the respective links to open windows containing detailed instructions
regarding the importing process from Outlook Express and Outlook.
Click on the “Import contacts” button to finish.
12. How do I add contacts manually ?
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Contacts Management” button on the
left-side menu. The “Contacts Management” page contains a list
of contacts (your own address is added automatically to the default list) and
a series of top links to help you manage your contact list: add, copy, move,
delete, search and import contacts, as well as clean up the unreachable recipients.
Click on the “Add contact” link.
The “Add contact” page is used for adding contacts one by one.
The “Add contact” page contains a form with several fields covering
the basic personal data of each contact: name, email address, birth date, phone
numbers and address. Use this form to add your contact’s email and personal
data to the contact list.
Fill in the fields with your contact’s info, then press the “Submit” button
to save. You can choose whether to go to a new “Add contact” page
or to return to the contact list, by pressing the appropriate button at the
bottom of the form. Or alternatively, you can use the “Return to list” link
at the top of the page.
13. How do I manage my contacts ?
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Contacts Management” button on the
left-side menu. The “Contacts Management” page contains a list
of contacts (your own address is added automatically to the default list) and
a series of top links to help you manage your contact list: add, copy, move,
delete, search and import contacts, as well as clean up the unreachable recipients.
You will be able to keep your list organized and up-to-date.
Each of the contacts in the list has a check box next to it and three links
for management: edit, info and statistics. Use the Edit link to modify your
contact’s information. For a quick view, when you move the mouse pointer
over the Info and Statistics links, a label will appear containing the contact’s
personal info and personal statistics, respectively.
You can also “Delete”, “Copy” and “Move” your
contacts. To delete a contact, first check the box next to the name, then press
the “Delete” button to remove it.
If you have created several lists, you can copy and move contacts between
them. Check the box next to the contacts you want copied/moved, and press the “Copy”/ “Move” button.
Under the button, a drop-down menu will expand. Select the destination list
by clicking on it and the contacts will be copied/moved.
You can reorder the list in alphabetical order (ascending or descending) using
as criteria either the name, email address or fidelity by clicking on the names
of the columns (Name, Contact, Fidelity). The Fidelity parameter is calculated
taking into account the number of emails the contact’s opened, the number
of articles read and the number of time an article was sent to a friend.
The search form is located underneath the top list of links. Type a keyword
(name, email address) in the field and press the “Search” button.
To see the contacts who unsubscribed from your newsletter, press the “Show
unsubscribed” link. The newsletter system is based on the readers subscribing
to receive them. Some of your contacts from the list may have chosen not to
unsubscribe for various reasons.
Using this tool, you will sort out the contacts that unsubscribed from your
newsletter, thus enabling you better categorize your list. You can use this
information to clean up your list, make another one containing these contacts
and try a different strategy to approach them.
Once you’ve pressed this link, the text will change to “Show subscribed”.
14. What does it mean to clean up my contact list and how do I do
it ?
The “List clean up” feature removes the contacts to whom the newsletter
couldn’t be delivered (bounced emails). It is important to keep your
contact list organized and up to date. The list may contain the wrong email
address, or the email address may have been disabled for some reason.
A soft bounce is an email that gets as far as the recipient's mail server
but is bounced back undelivered before it gets to the intended recipient. This
might occur because the recipient's inbox is full. A soft bounce message may
be deliverable at another time or may be forwarded manually by the network
administrator in charge of redirecting mail on the recipient's domain. On the
other hand, a hard bounce is an email message that has been returned to the
sender because the recipient's address is invalid.
In order to save credits you would otherwise waste, we have provided you with
a tool to remove these unreachable contacts from your contact list. (One credit
is one email the system sends to one person.)
Click on the “List clean up” link.
Clean up your list by removing soft or hard bounces or both, by checking the
corresponding box in the form below. Press on the “List clean up” button
to finish.
MANAGING MY NEWSLETTER CONTENTS
15. What kind of newsletters can I send?
You can send two types of newsletters: the weekly farming newsletter, containing
articles from general interest categories (Family, Home Improvement and Repair,
Health, Gardening, Pets, Leisure, Food&Drink and General Tips), as well
as a monthly newsletter for your prospects dealing with targeted information
(Mortgages, Real Estate investment, Seller and Buyers tips, Moving and Relocating).
Our editorial team provides the high quality content: original articles and
articles selected from free-for-reprint resources.
You can take complete control over the content of your newsletter by customizing
it to better fit your target audience. You can also add your own copy to specially
designated sections, custom messages to your readers, as well as commercial
ads or important announcements, giving your newsletters a personal touch.
16. How do I customize the newsletter title and how do I select a
different template?
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Newsletter contents” button on the
left-side menu.
First of all, you need to select the list you want the specific newsletter
sent to using the “Mailing list” box.
Select the newsletter you want to customize: the Farming newsletter or the
Prospecting newsletter. Then, fill in the Title field with your choice or leave
the default title.
Select your template by checking the box underneath your choice.
You have the option to make further adjustments by pressing the “Advanced
settings” link, which will expand an editing form.
17. How do I customize the article channels and
how do I add the custom copy?
You can exclude article categories, and customize the extra content on top,
bottom and sideways.
You can exclude topics from your newsletter by deselecting the boxes next to
the article categories you do not want. Our editorial team will select the
articles for you.
Select the sideway content categories you want included in the newsletter by
checking the box next to your option.
Fill in the top, bottom and sideway content field with your personal message
or commercial ad.
Press the “Add newsletter content” button to save.
18. How do I use the “Preview and edit” window?
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Newsletter contents” button on the
left-side menu.
After you defined your newsletter characteristics, use the “Preview
and edit” button to open an editable preview of your newsletter. Using
the tools in the editing window, you can modify the top, bottom and sideway
content, and change the order of the articles. You also have the option to
decide whether or not to use the articles the system has selected from our
database.
The top, bottom and sideway content have an Edit button on the side. By clicking
on it, you will be able to modify or delete the text. The articles have Up
and Down arrows for changing the order, and an “Use” box you can
un-check if you don’t want to use that particular item.
Your changes will only affect the curent edition of the newsletter.
Or you can press the “Preview” button for a simple preview.
19. How do I manage the settings of newsletter sending
process?
The sending process can be automatic or the system might require your permission,
and also set the sending schedule.
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Newsletter contents” button on the
left-side menu. Choose whether the newsletter will require your approval before
sending or not by checking the box next to your option. The sending process
can be automatic or it might require your permission. For example, if you are
on vacation without access to a computer, the automatic sending tool can be
your life-saver.
To set the schedule, press on the “Newsletter schedule” button
on the left-side menu. You will get a list of pilots with “Modify” links
next to each.
By default, the first newsletter will be sent automatically to your contacts
one hour after you start your free trial.
You can change the sending schedule (the day of the week and the hour) of
your newsletters if you need to. You might choose a different time to increase
the percent of readers or if the newsletter requires an approval before being
sent, you might set a different date to accommodate you.
Important: You can only modify the date during the interval the newsletter
is programmed to be sent. For example, if you want to change the schedule for
the weekly Farming newsletter, you can only change the day of the week and
the hour it will be sent. You cannot choose a date belonging to another week
or month.
Use the “Modify” link next to each edition to change the default
sending schedule of the newsletter.
Use the visual calendar to set the sending schedule of your newsletters. You
can set the day of the week and the hour.
Select the date and the hour using the calendar. If you want the date to be
the default sending date for all future issues, then check the box underneath
the calendar. For example, you might want to send the weekly Farming newsletter
every Tuesday and the monthly Prospects newsletter on Monday. Let’s say
you set the Monday the 2nd of August as the first day to send the Prospects
newsletter and you set it as the default sending date. The next newsletter
will be sent four weeks later on Monday, September the 6th. In conclusion,
you can set a sending schedule every Monday, but not every 2nd day of the month.
You also have “Preview and edit ” and “Preview” links
for a fast check up on your newsletter before you send it. If you decide it
is unsatisfactory, you can press the “Not approved” link and the
newsletter will expire. A new newsletter will have to be generated in order
to resume sending.
You can choose to suspend the sending or return to the newsletter list by
using the links at the top of the page.
To finish, press the “Update schedule” button.
20. How do I set the sending day of my newsletters
?
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press on the “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Newsletter schedule” button on the
left-side menu. You will get the list of newsletters with “Change date” links
next to each. Click on the “Change date” link.
Use the visual calendar
to set the sending schedule of your newsletters. You can set the day of the
week and the hour. Simply, click on the day you chose.
If you want the date
to be the default sending date for all future issues, then check the box underneath
the calendar. For example, you might want to
send the weekly Farming newsletter every Tuesday and the monthly Prospects
newsletter on Monday. Let’s say you set the Monday the 2nd of August
as the first day to send the Prospects newsletter, and you set it as the default
sending date. The next newsletter will be sent four weeks later on Monday,
September the 6th. In conclusion, you can set a sending schedule every Monday,
but not every 2nd day of the month.
To finish, press the “Update schedule” button.
21. How do I set the sending time of my newsletters?
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press on the “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “Newsletter schedule” button on the
left-side menu. You will get the list of newsletters with “Change date” links
next to each. Click on the “Change date” link.
Use the visual calendar
to set the sending schedule of your newsletters. You can set the day of the
week and the hour.
To set the time the newsletter is sent, use the “Time” tool at
the bottom of the calendar. Click on the hour box to change it. Each click
will set the time an hour later. To set an earlier hour, hold down the “Shift” key
and click. Do the same to set the minutes.
Important: To set the hour correctly,
take a look at the time shown in the header of your Control Panel (it’s
the Eastern coast time). If you schedule your newsletter to be sent each Monday
at 5:00 PM, it will be sent at 5:00
PM EST. You will need to adjust the schedule taking into account the timezone
you live in. For example, if you live on in central America and you want to
send your letter at 4:00 PM CST, you will need to set the hour in the visual
calendar at 2:00 PM EST.
To finish, press the “Update schedule” button.

subscribing and your email recipients will get a second source of information.
Give
the code you chose to your developer or if you manage your website yourself,
simply copy, then paste the code to your website code.
Important note: If you have a NetReal website, you can include the code by
following these steps:
Log into your NetReal Control Panel. Press on the “My Site Builder” tab
in the left-side menu, then on the “Site content” link in the expanded
menu below. Click on the name of the section you want the newsletter included
into, for example in one of your custom pages. Click on the “Custom page
content” subsection to open the editing window. In the online editor,
click on the “Toggle HTML Source” button (the second one from the
right, on the middle toolbar). Paste the code into the window and press on
the “Submit” button to save.
24. How do I customize the subscription form?
The subscription code is the text link people use to subscribe to your newsletter.
The “Subscription form” tool customizes the code for the subscription
message in your newsletter. This code can also be integrated in your website.
Log into your NetRealinTouch account, press “Mailing Lists Manager” button
on the top menu, then on the “List tools” button on the left-side
menu. Click on the “Subscription form” link to access the tool.
You can change the appearance of the font used and the text itself. Afterward,
the new code can be included in your website or other materials.

and clicking on the desired color.
You can also customize the subscription text, by editing the text in the corresponding
field.
Press the "Generate new code" button to save, or the "Return
to default" button to revert to the default version of the code.
The code is in two versions: Iframe and JavaScript.
If you use the Iframe code, the subscription form will appear as a subscription
box with name and email fields.
If you use the JavaScript code, the subscription form will appear as link.
When clicked on, a subscription box will pop-up.
